PETER RABBIT COTTON TAIL...

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail...

What is Easter without the Sand Dunes?
It is Dyches tradition to go camping out at the Dunes for Easter.  This year was really busy with Spencer's job on the farm so an all-day trip was perfect!  The kids had a blast--and the weather was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!

This year was great because the RHINO fit us all perfectly!  Cody & Lakely in the back with Kaden in the front.  Our next ATV purchase will be a back seat and sound system, so we can buckle in the car seat for Carrington.  We had our cooler, a little shade, and was able to enjoy conversation with each other.  Spencer said, "you know your old when you trade in your banshee for a rhino, didn't think this would ever be me but I wouldn't have it any other way!"  Haha!

Kaden begged to drive up the face of sand mountain...haha--he is a dare devil like his dad.  He could have stayed out there FOREVER!  He was literally in his element!

Cody brought his cousin Lakely and they were more content just diggin in the sand.  Cody did get pretty brave and wanted to drive on the dunes on his very own.

Me and Lakely just chillin' while soaking up a little sun!

This trip made it nearly 10 years since Spencer and I started coming out here together.
Now look...2 boys, a little girl on the way, and a rhino later :)

MORE EASTER TRADITIONS...
The boys had a lot of fun at the Ephraim City Easter Egg Hunt.  We barely made it though--like walked in on the count down.  Spencer got held up at work so thanks to me we left and flew up to the park!  I felt bad just leaving Cody on his own but flew over to help Kaden.  Oh he had a lot of fun!!  We even met up with cousin Cache for a cute picture! This is seriously one of my favorite times of year--SPRING, starting new life!

Kaden took this candy thing pretty serious!

Pretty proud of their candy hunting abilities!

Lucky mom of these cute boy!

EASTER WITH THE OLSON'S
Year's when it is good weather great grandpa Olson puts on a Easter Egg Hunt out at the Farm.  The kids loved it, especially searching for money in the shavings...Actually I think Melissa & Spencer had the most fun!!  There were quite a few people that came and it was so fun to catch up with everyone.

EASTER WITH THE BARTON'S
This year my mom felt that my grandma Barton should have a break and instead do Easter out at the Farmhouse.  It was SO much fun!  From a yummy barbecue, Easter egg hunt, rolling Easter eggs down the hill...it was just another awesome get-together!

 Our own little EASTER-EGG bellies!

Unfortunately, out at my mom's Cody started with a high fever.  Later that night he got worse and so Sunday (Easter morning) Spencer took Cody up to Provo to the doctor--he had a fever of almost 103, sore throat, ear ache.  We were certain he had strep...but everything was negative.  The next day he was worse, even wanting to spit in a cup so he wouldn't have to swallow.  I took him to the clinic again and negative...A LONG week of no school, missed State Wrestling, and just trying to stay hydrated!  It was the sickest I have ever seen him in year's.  The dang virus went through us all over the coarse of a month.  It was HORRIBLE!  Not even my essential oils did much good.

Kaden thought Easter was pretty awesome!  He sported his new Easter suit at Audrey's Farwell and gathered up all the candy by himself.  For him the following week was a SUGAR HIGH!  Cody got a new pellet/bb gun in camo and he was pretty excited that is came with a scope!  Kaden got a bunch of summer toys and clothes but had the most fun just gathering all the treats in the house!

So since Kaden thought he was such a BIG BOY (always being a little smarty pants)  the next day we had him do BIG BOY things during Spring Break....ummm didn't work, but at least we tried :)
