EaStEr....

Easter Sunday!  Always my favorite :)  I have a thing with matching on Sundays.  Maybe because my mom always had all of her kids in matching outfits...something that just kind of stuck with me.  Shopped all over to find the perfect sunday best.  Love them and my boys look so handsome!  Kaden's curly hair and all :)  It was a beautiful sabbath filled with love in our home for our Savior.

Friday night we pulled our camp trailor up in the north hill of Moroni where Cody and Spencer camped.  Kaden and I stayed home but went up to roast hotdogs and marshmellow with my neices :)  Cody learned how to ride a bike without training wheels.  And then Saturday morning went to the Moroni park and had an easter egg hunt.

We have a family tradition of doing the "Easter Bunny."  Waking up to candy, and baskets full of summer fun items such as new matching shirts, cotton candy, dive rings, movies, shoes, etc.  Last year the easter bunny brought Cody a tramp that blew away, so we surprised him with another one.

Then we ate a beautiful sunday dinner at Spencer's parents house in Moroni.
Then later went out to the farm and had an Easter egg hunt and dessert.
My parents got two bummer lambs and named them Ruth and Ray after my great grandparents.  Here is Ruth, or maybe it's Ray.  LOL!

May not have my GIRL, but I have my DANCER!!

Just Dance attended the annual Dixie Jam, hosted by Dance America in St. George.  It was a blast!  We stayed at Liz and Peggy's condo and enjoyed the 80 degree weather.  Shopping, dancing, sunshine, and cafe rio was right what I needed.  Solo competition was held Friday April 13th and Team competition Saturday.

My neice Addelyn was AMAZING as she danced to Orange Colored Sky!  She nailed those double pirouettes, leg lift, extension, backwalkover, and of course her showmanship!  Way to go Addelyn...took 1ST PLACE over 4 other girls in her division.

Cody and his cousin Lakely peformed a jazz duet to "Tale Spin."  Oh my gosh, they were absolutely adorable!  We were not planning on having them attend this competition because we honestly didn't practice much.  They both bauled their little eyes out so we paid the late fee and registered.  We practiced only 5 times and wow they stole the show.  They placed HIGH GOLD and also the JUDGES CHOICE out of 28 teams!

Bibbidi, Bobbidy, Boo...

DISNEY ON ICE......This is one of our favorite family traditions!  I thought it would be a great idea to surprise Cody and Kaden.  I am not good at keeping secrets, but the whole way up to SLC Cody was trying to guess what his "surprise" was.  It wasn't until he walked into the building did he figure it out. He was sooo excited and the look on his face was priceless!  12th row with sno cones, popcorn, and cotton candy!
We seen everyone from captain hook, peter pan, 101 dalmations, mickey mouse and the gang, fantasia, nightmare before Christmas, all the Disney prince and princess' including princess and the frog!  We can't wait for the next show...

RSV...Yuck!

Dr. Later at Utah Valley Pediatrics diagnosed Kaden with RSV (on a Friday) and a double ear infection.  So, we went home with a nebulizer, and antibiotics.  I am grateful for my nursing skills and knowledge to know that by the next day he was in terrible shape.  I took him to the suction clinic at Utah Valley and upon arrival his 02 stats were 82%.  After suction he was up at 95% but retracting.  He wouldn't eat and had horrible diarrhea.  I insisted that they keep him overnight which turned out to be 6 days of hospitalization at Utah Valley.  It took 4 nurses and 7 pokes to insert his IV.  Kaden had suction every 4-6 hours, oxygen, IV antibiotics, and fluids.  Second day was scary, thought he was going to ICU....

He literally slept the entire first 3 days.  On the fourth day he did get a little apetite but only wanting to eat 2-3 ounces every 6 hours.  Each day he was able to eat more and more.  It was so comforting to know that he had great dr.'s and nurses taking good care of him!
While he slept I got to go shopping!  Bought me some new running shoes, clothes, home decor and had a pedicure!  I watched lot's of tv: The Dr.'s, Oprah, Dr. Phil :)
Kaden had visitors including:  Grandma Peggy, Grandpa George, Spencer, Grannie Annie and Grandpa Gary.  It was so nice to get a small break.  My mom and dad took me out to eat at the Texas Roadhouse...yum!  And my mom even surprised me and came up with a cafe rio salad and said she would stay the night with him so I could go home, we had a good talk for hours before I headed out...then I locked my freakin' keys in my trunk :(  Thank heavens for hospital security to bail me out!  Then on the way home a blizzard, nearly slid of the road, oh and had no gas in my car because I lost my debit card while shopping and hadno cash so literally sputtered in my garage
just in time!  I surprised Spencer and Cody at 11:00pm and oh..... were they ever excited!
By the forth day he was climbing up in his crib and jumping around.  He was so dang cute and so
fun to spend such tender moments with him!  Everyone was so good to help me out.  Cody stayed at the farm with his dad and grandpa.  Liz, Jen, Audrey, Jenae, Kristal, Kayla all helped out tremendously with dance classes.  Thank you to all those who called to check on Kaden.  I am so grateful that I am surrounded by wonderful friends and family!

I loved singing him my favorite bedtime song....
"Rock a bye, don't you cry,

We will go to grandma's.
Up the hill, by the mill,
to see the little lambies.

I see the moon the moon see's me
Way up 'ore the old oak tree.
Please let the light that shines on you
Shine on the one I love!

Over the mountain over the seas,
Back where my heart is longing to be.
Please let the light that shines on you,
Shine on the one I love!"
Song from my dear Grandma Barton

"We may not have it all together but together we have it all!"

Welcome to our Blog...

Life is a journey not a 100 meter dash.  Life is to live.  Life is good...REAL GOOD!

Our life is crazy but it's our life!
Never a dull moment, although our house is full of boys--DRAMA is always present!  And I wouldn't trade it for the world...I never thought coming from a house full of girls and now having ALL BOYS could be so FUN!   I'm getting used to wranglers, mud, cars, derby's, hunting, fishing, guns, spittin', peeing off the front porch, cougar hunts, sports, camping and wrestling!  I am proud of my boys and so lucky they are ALL mine!

The moment I met Spencer, we fell in LOVE~ He is my other half, my soul mate, my best friend....who has given me more than I deserve.  We met while I was a senior at MHS and instantly knew we were meant to be!  Only 2 weeks after my graduation we were married June 11, 2004 in the Manti Temple.  Spencer, being a "North-Sanpeter" has been a good sport in being part of a "Manti" family.  I would say we are both 1/2 and 1/2  :)  We built a home in Ephraim nearly 6 years ago and love it.  Spencer works for my dad on the farm, stays very active with hunting and snowmobiling.  I am grateful to be self employed as a dance/tumbling teacher, a wife and a mother with near plans to complete my RN degree.  We are so glad that all we need in life is eachother!  We love to go to dinner and a movie, kareoke (Spencer is a pro), byu games, shop til we drop, fourwheeling, yardwork, slow dancing, and staying up late eating icecream!

CODY NATHAN was born Dec. 22, 2005 and named after his uncle Cody who rests in heaven.  Cody is "all boy."  He loves preschool, karate, hip hop, ballroom, soccer, t-ball, tumbling, shooting his bb gun and especially loves the farm!  He stays busy building secret clubhouses, colors, and creates any and all things.  His second house is out to "grannie annie's and grandpa gary's."

KADEN GARY born June 7, 2010 is a wonderful addition to our family.  He is nearly 10 months, has 6 teeth, crawls everywhere, climbs on furniture and is getting into all kinds of mischief.  He loves bathtime!
