PETER RABBIT COTTON TAIL...

Hopping Down the Bunny Trail...

What is Easter without the Sand Dunes?
It is Dyches tradition to go camping out at the Dunes for Easter.  This year was really busy with Spencer's job on the farm so an all-day trip was perfect!  The kids had a blast--and the weather was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!

This year was great because the RHINO fit us all perfectly!  Cody & Lakely in the back with Kaden in the front.  Our next ATV purchase will be a back seat and sound system, so we can buckle in the car seat for Carrington.  We had our cooler, a little shade, and was able to enjoy conversation with each other.  Spencer said, "you know your old when you trade in your banshee for a rhino, didn't think this would ever be me but I wouldn't have it any other way!"  Haha!

Kaden begged to drive up the face of sand mountain...haha--he is a dare devil like his dad.  He could have stayed out there FOREVER!  He was literally in his element!

Cody brought his cousin Lakely and they were more content just diggin in the sand.  Cody did get pretty brave and wanted to drive on the dunes on his very own.

Me and Lakely just chillin' while soaking up a little sun!

This trip made it nearly 10 years since Spencer and I started coming out here together.
Now look...2 boys, a little girl on the way, and a rhino later :)

MORE EASTER TRADITIONS...
The boys had a lot of fun at the Ephraim City Easter Egg Hunt.  We barely made it though--like walked in on the count down.  Spencer got held up at work so thanks to me we left and flew up to the park!  I felt bad just leaving Cody on his own but flew over to help Kaden.  Oh he had a lot of fun!!  We even met up with cousin Cache for a cute picture! This is seriously one of my favorite times of year--SPRING, starting new life!

Kaden took this candy thing pretty serious!

Pretty proud of their candy hunting abilities!

Lucky mom of these cute boy!

EASTER WITH THE OLSON'S
Year's when it is good weather great grandpa Olson puts on a Easter Egg Hunt out at the Farm.  The kids loved it, especially searching for money in the shavings...Actually I think Melissa & Spencer had the most fun!!  There were quite a few people that came and it was so fun to catch up with everyone.

EASTER WITH THE BARTON'S
This year my mom felt that my grandma Barton should have a break and instead do Easter out at the Farmhouse.  It was SO much fun!  From a yummy barbecue, Easter egg hunt, rolling Easter eggs down the hill...it was just another awesome get-together!

 Our own little EASTER-EGG bellies!

Unfortunately, out at my mom's Cody started with a high fever.  Later that night he got worse and so Sunday (Easter morning) Spencer took Cody up to Provo to the doctor--he had a fever of almost 103, sore throat, ear ache.  We were certain he had strep...but everything was negative.  The next day he was worse, even wanting to spit in a cup so he wouldn't have to swallow.  I took him to the clinic again and negative...A LONG week of no school, missed State Wrestling, and just trying to stay hydrated!  It was the sickest I have ever seen him in year's.  The dang virus went through us all over the coarse of a month.  It was HORRIBLE!  Not even my essential oils did much good.

Kaden thought Easter was pretty awesome!  He sported his new Easter suit at Audrey's Farwell and gathered up all the candy by himself.  For him the following week was a SUGAR HIGH!  Cody got a new pellet/bb gun in camo and he was pretty excited that is came with a scope!  Kaden got a bunch of summer toys and clothes but had the most fun just gathering all the treats in the house!

So since Kaden thought he was such a BIG BOY (always being a little smarty pants)  the next day we had him do BIG BOY things during Spring Break....ummm didn't work, but at least we tried :)

CODY'S WRESTLING SEASON

CODY'S GYM
TEAM TAKEDOWN

'12-'13 SEASON
Oh this was a great season for Cody!  It was his first full season and he fought so hard in every match!  He has a couple of Emery kids that he still wants to beat, but man does this boy have heart!  He was named MVP of the N. Sanpete Tournament and received a certificate and a prize from his coach Cody (he loves the fact they have the same name).  His coach has been so good for him and has taught him most of all that through hard work he can accomplish anything!  Just 2 months into the wrestling season they invited him to join the oldest team--Spencer was able to help coach and was a TERRIFIC help!  Cody boy loved when his dad would go to his twice a week practices.  Spencer said Cody out practiced most middle school kids.  There was one week when it was just Cody & Keegan (the coaches son) leading the team in up downs, with most kids about in tears or on the point of giving up.  There were nights when Cody would come home ready to collapse and would tell me how hard it was...one night I will never forget, he cried to me, "mom it hurts-it really does, like lot's of pain!"  It was all I could do to hear that and I almost pulled him out, but we told him that hard work pays off and if this is something he wants to do then he needs to work hard even if it does hurt.  He is building so much confidence, courage, hard work, discipline, teamwork, passion, and dedication!  This year Cody also loved watching his cousin Landon who had a great season for Maple Mountain High School. Landon won Region and State and many other tournaments.  Cody's wrestling idol is his uncle Barton and can't wait that he will be here next season to watch him!  We are sure proud of you Cody Boy--you had a great season, and looking forward to another year!

Gunnison Tournament March 23, 2013
Cody 2nd place
**I had morning sickness like never before so no video's at this one, but he lost only by points to Emery.  Each time they match up, Cody gets closer and closer to beating him-- it must be a boy thing but they have become really good buddy's!  This was his last tournament--He missed State Wrestling for his league because he had the week long flu :(

DINOSAUR...

...ROAR!

Day 1 of Spring Break (like literally picked up Cody from school and went), I decided very last minute to start it out with a mommy and boys day.  They had the choice of going to Trafalga, Pirate Island, or Bounce.  It didn't take Cody long to suggest the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point.  It was kind of a chilly day but we made great memories just exploring...boys stuff!

They spent most of their time making islands for their dinosaurs and building a dam.

DON'T LET THAT FACE OF KADEN'S FOOL YOU....he wasn't scared, just mad I wouldn't let him go climb on the shark!  Cody was such a good minder and helper with Kaden (who wanted to climb on  it all)!
We didn't have to rush back for anything so we stayed for a 3D movie--it was SCARY!

The next day was PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCE & THE BOOK FAIR!
Cody picked out a DINO KIT, Kaden picked a TRACTOR STICKER BOOK...What cute little nerds :)

I think the glasses made Cody "EXTRA SERIOUS"
